Traditional Thai massage and oil treatments in Munich
At Sala Thai Massage & Spa you can choose from traditional Thai massage, Thai oil massage, aroma oil massage, back and neck massage, foot reflexology massage, hot stone massage and couples massage. Our massage therapists learned their craft in Thailand and work with traditional Thai techniques.
Sessions range from 30 minutes for a focused back and neck massage to 120 minutes for a full Thai or aroma oil massage. Prices and treatment times are listed with each service. Traditional Thai Massage
Traditional Thai massage with targeted pressure-point technique, passive stretching and steady, even pressure.
Traditional Thai massage, known in Thailand as Nuad Phaen Boran, looks back on a centuries-old tradition. Its mythical roots reach to the legendary doctor Shivago Komarpaj, a contemporary of the Buddha around 2,500 years ago. The origins lie in Indian Ayurveda and yoga. At the Wat Pho temple in Bangkok it has been systematically documented and taught since the 19th century. At Sala Thai Massage & Spa we work according to this traditional system: without oil, on a treatment table, in clothing or covered with towels, as you prefer.
Thai Oil Massage
Thai technique with warm oil: pressure and stretches along the energy lines.
The same technique as our Traditional Thai Massage, pressure and passive stretches along the energy lines on a treatment table, combined with warm oil. The oil softens the skin and adds flowing, gliding movements alongside the classic pressure work.

Massage for back, shoulders and neck – many guests find it soothing for everyday tension.
The back and neck massage at our Munich studio is a focused Thai treatment for the areas most loaded in daily life: back, shoulders, neck, and upper arms. It follows the principles of traditional Thai massage (Nuad Phaen Boran) and works along the energy lines, the energy channels of the Thai tradition. Several of the ten main lines, the ten main energy lines, run directly through the back and shoulder area.
Hot Stone Massage
Deep, warm massage with heated basalt stones.
Hot stone massage is a modern treatment that works with warm, smoothed basalt stones. It is not part of the classical Thai tradition and we offer it at our studio as a stand-alone, contemporary treatment. The stones are gently warmed in water and used in two ways, placed directly on the body and guided by hand as an extension of the massage therapist's touch.
Oil Massage
Aroma Oil Massage
Relaxing full-body massage with warm, aromatic oils.
The aroma oil massage is a modern variation within the Thai massage landscape. It combines gentle manual techniques with warm, fragrant oils. The treatment is designed as a contemporary wellness application and differs clearly from classical Nuad Phaen Boran. Instead of stretches and firm pressure along the energy lines, the focus lies on flowing, long strokes and soft, circular movements.

Soothing foot massage based on reflexology techniques.
Foot reflexology massage combines two traditions: traditional Thai foot massage and the idea of reflex zones on the foot, familiar to many from Western wellness concepts.

In the couples massage the two of you lie side by side on two tables, each with your own massage therapist. Time together for couples, friends or family.
In the couples massage, the two of you are together. You lie side by side on two tables, and a massage therapist of your own looks after each of you. So you stay together in the same room, yet each of you is treated quietly on your own. It suits couples, and just as much two people who are close.
