Hot Stone Massage in Munich
Deep, warm massage with heated basalt stones.
About the Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a modern treatment that works with warm, smoothed basalt stones. It is not part of the classical Thai tradition and we offer it at our studio as a stand-alone, contemporary treatment. The stones are gently warmed in water and used in two ways, placed directly on the body and guided by hand as an extension of the massage therapist's touch.
At our Munich studio, we combine the calm presence of the warm stones with manual massage techniques. The result is an even interplay of warmth, weight, and human contact.
Who is the hot stone massage suitable for?
- Anyone who finds warmth particularly soothing
- People looking for a warm retreat in the cold season
- Guests who prefer a calm, slower-paced treatment
- Anyone who wants to try something other than a classic Thai massage
- Couples or friends booking a relaxed appointment together
The treatment is less suitable for anyone who finds warmth generally unpleasant or has heat sensitivity. In that case we are happy to advise you on alternative treatments.
Treatment flow
Please let us know before the session if you are sensitive to heat, or if individual areas are more sensitive than others — we check the temperature of the stones carefully so they feel pleasantly warm, never too hot. You lie comfortably on the couch and a soft cloth covers any body area not currently being worked on.
The treatment usually begins with gentle, introductory strokes and a small amount of nourishing oil. Selected stones are then placed along the back, around the shoulders, or on other areas, while the massage therapist works in parallel by hand on different regions. The stones are also used directly as a massage tool, with slow, gliding movements that carry the warmth deeply and evenly into the tissue.
Well-being and body awareness
Many guests find the combination of warm stones and manual massage especially enveloping and calming.
Please note: The hot stone massage is a wellness application and does not replace medical treatment. In pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, as well as in case of fever, acute infections or inflammations, fresh injuries or operations, thrombosis, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, varicose veins, osteoporosis, cancer, diabetes with impaired sensation, pronounced heat sensitivity, or skin conditions, please consult medical advice in advance.
